If you take your vitamins, they are not the only thing you put in your body to stay healthy. They are meant to supplement what you eat and drink during the day. Here at Leadership Vitamin, I know that this won’t be the only leadership blog you visit during your day or week. When you come here, you can expect to get your supplemental vitamin of influence on top of any other knowledge you pick up throughout the day.
When I talk about leadership, it doesn’t just mean leadership in your organization as you will so commonly read about on a lot of blogs. Leadership to me comes in all forms, and is who you are.
Leadership is influence, so if you have ever influenced someone, you are a leader. If you’re a friend, a parent, a volunteer, an employee, business owner, coach, role model, brother/sister…. it doesn’t matter, if you have the ability to, and have influenced someone, you are a leader.
What can you expect to read here?
I will post on the topics of leadership, customer service, productivity, and occassionally some things that don’t quite fit into any of those categories, yet are sure to be the supplement you’re looking for.
If you follow the site, and I hope that you do, you might see the site change over time as I’m always thinking of ways to tweak it in whichever way I can. I’m not an expert web designer but I love to learn new things. I’ll try to figure some of this web design stuff out on my own, but for some of the more complicated things I have an excellent designer at my disposal. Her name is Melanie Amorim, and she has been a big help when it comes to some of the more technical and design aspects.
Who am I?
My name is Leo J. Lampinen. I was born and raised in northeast Ohio. I am active duty military and have lived in several states across the country but currently call West Michigan my home until it is time to move again. I have been married to my wonderful wife Courtney for 11 years. We are blessed with twin boys Jaxson and Jayson, who will turn 4 this year.
I am passionate about the study and practice of personal and effective servant leadership. I enjoy interacting with and serving people. I can’t stand a mess, and when I’m working, I have to be organized or nothing gets done effectively.

Adam invited me to join a team of regular contributors to post once a week to his blog on the topic of leadership. I was honored and humbled to be considered as part of this elite team of writers.

[Guest Post] Bob Tiede’s “Leading with Questions”
This is a post that I originally submitted to ASmithBlog.com and upon reading it Bob asked if he could repost it on his site. Bob’s site, Leading with Questions, is one of the first leadership blogs I ever subscribed to. It’s full of great content and I recommend you add it to your list as well.
